THE BIG TREK: Battery Park to 89th street

Nour-Eddine looks ready for our trek, camera in hand. The suspended park above his head is a monument to the Irish Potato Famine. This was across the street from the hotel at Vesey St. and North End Avenue, and was our starting point. From there the group headed south along the Hudson River. Our luck; it was a beautiful day.
