Ali, our trusty translator, works long hours so that we can all communicate. We are so grateful to him. He sits in this booth at the back of the room and only leaves to take a bathroom break. He is becoming invisible in the context of the classroom, in order to serve as a fluid medium of information and ideas. He is illustrative of one of the largest barriers that the students have had to work with--language differences between students - and they are storming that barrier and embracing it. Thank you Ali!
